Ohmygod. So many feels.
I can’t believe that I just did my last ever concert choir concert, and my last ever chamber choir concert. Like. The pain hasn’t full out hit me yet. I’ve been harassing my friend Mikey all night by reminding him that that was the last concert of the year, and he was so upset, but I just couldn’t cry. And I still haven’t. I’m not a sentimental person, and I never will be I don’t think. But I just. I want to cry about this so badly, to be honest. I’m not going to miss high school, and I’m not going to miss a lot of the people I’ve known. I won’t lie and say that I’ll keep in touch with everyone that I’ve met, because I know that that isn’t true. But if I could stay friends with everyone I’ve ever met in the music department, and mostly concert and chamber choirs, that would be enough for me. I just can’t think of my life without these people and things. It sounds stupid and clingy and whatever, but it’s true. That choir room has been my sanctuary for so many reasons. The people in there have saved my life (quite literally) more than once. My choir director is the most wonderful human being on the face of the earth, and I will not miss anyone more than her. I need this place, and these people and I don’t know what I’ll do without them. I just wish I could cry about it so badly.
